Competitive Cheer

Intro Info for Competitive Cheer

Cheerleading
Spirit of Kansas All Star Cheerleading promotes and coaches cheerleading as an athletic sport, one that includes skill development, coordination, and physical fitness.
Why does Cheerleading continue to grow in popularity? Because it offers so many fun and exciting elements all in one sport . . . Cheer motions, power tumbling, dancing, basing, flying all choreographed together to explode into a powerful, high energy performance routine.

Yes, you can be sure that cheerleading today is not just about leading the crowd. While that is still part of it, todays cheerleaders require much more training than cheerleaders of the past. They must be physically fit, strong muscle tone, awesome flexibility and possess great cardio endurance.

The good news about our cheerleading program is that our training style is dynamic and fun which makes it easy to become physical fit through the sheer enjoyment of training. Our curriculum includes fun group and individual drills and conditioning techniques that help each athlete develop necessary skills to succeed as an all-star cheerleader. Don't mistake fun for lenience. That's not the case. We simply have found that hard work is more enjoyable in a fun atmosphere!!

Beginning cheerleader or experienced? Doesn't matter. Either way, we have a spot for everyone! Beginners start with the basics and build up from there. More experienced students work at an advanced level, fine-tuning existing skills while learning more elite ones.

Our Goal

To provide each student with a positive experience by helping them develop the skills and technique needed to advance. We will accomplish this by using proven methods in teaching that provide maximum results.

To help each student gain self-esteem and confidence through their accomplishments in our program. By offering a structured class environment, we will guide each child as they develop good habits and learn self-discipline.

To share with our students our love of cheer in hopes it will provide a continual source of enrichment throughout their lives.

Our Commitment

To respect each student and to provide excellent training by qualified instructors in a positive, safe learning environment.

We will continue to improve our program by educating ourselves through professional subscriptions and memberships, workshops, and professional certifications.
